Red Star News launches “Belt and Road “International News ChannelBreaking

BEIJING, April 30 (INP): Red Star News announced the official launch of “Belt and Road" International News Channel in a ceremony held in Beijing Tuesday.

It’s the first mainstream media to launch such channel right after the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.

According to the top level officials, Red Star News, incubated by Chengdu Economic Daily, is a new type of mobile mainstream media. After the reform and opening-up of China, Chengdu Economic Daily became the typical example of newspaper transformation in China.

It wins the first place in many aspects and ranks the top in circulation and influence in western China. In the era of Internet, Chengdu Economic Daily is transforming to Red Star News in all aspects. It takes "originality", "investigation", and "commentary" as the core force, aiming to create a new media brand with international influence and tens of millions of followers.

The official added that the newly launched "Belt and Road "International News Channel of Red Star News will deliver on-site reporting and authoritative release in a timely manner, and provides the most comprehensive business information, hosts the high-end interviews, shares the most vivid silk road stories.

The news centers of "Southeast Asia", "East Asia" and "Europe" will be constructed within this year, and the news centers of "America" and "Africa" will be built in the next step. A number of distinguished guests attended the press conference to share their thoughts on how can the media shoulder the communication responsibility in the construction of "One Belt and One Road" under the theme of "Silk Road Sharing Session". They are Hong junYu, the former vice minister of the International Department of CPC Central Committee, former Ambassador of Uzbekistan,and current vice president of the Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament; Jianguo Wei, the former deputy commerce minister and current vice president of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, and Guoqing Wang, the previous deputy director of the State Council Information Office of PRC and current vice-president of China Foundation for Human Rights Development. They shared their opinions and had an in-depth conversation at the meeting.
