BEIJING, July 30 (INP): By the year 2020, the population below the poverty line will be zero in China, said officials of the Chinese State Council Information Office.

They told a Pakistani media delegation that China has worked wonders in the areas of economic growth and stability as well as its people’s betterment. The present number of people living below the poverty line is just 16 million out of 1.4 billion, reports China Economic Net (CEN) on Tuesday.

The reforms brought about by the Chinese leaders in general and the ruling Communist Party of China in particular under the leadership of visionary Chinese President Xi Jinping paved the way of people’s prosperity across the board.

The entire world is today witnessing rapid, fast-track prosperity in China that one could found in the lives of ordinary Chinese people.

The delegation noted that all the policies of the government and other institutions of China focus on the people of China. Their number one issue is the strengthening of the people of China.

This target of optimal performance-for-public-satisfaction has not been achieved in many advanced countries despite their tall claims of being democratic and public-oriented.

China has earned prosperity for its people who form between one-fifth and one-sixth of the global population.

In the realm of relations with the outside world, the Chinese leadership, especially the incumbent leadership of President Xi Jinping and his team has embarked on a foreign policy with three basic principles or priorities, namely coordination, stability, and cooperation.

While answering a question, a Chinese official, the size of a country does not matter as much as the democratic interests of the people and the rest of the world. If the democratic interests are looked out for, international relations can be very well managed.

The delegation thanked CEN for its active role in promoting the two countries' brotherly relations by arranging frequent media's interaction and exchanging news on issues of common interest.
