Pakistan to be made ideal destination for foreign investment: PMBreaking

SHANGHAI, Nov 05 (INP): Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday declared that Pakistan will be made an ideal destination for foreign investment that will lead the country towards a better future for its people.

They are taking steps to make Pakistan a more conducive and competitive market for businesses and investments, he said while addressing opening ceremony of China International Import Expo (CIIE) here on Monday, as a key-note speaker.

About China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), he said it would serve as a vital link for the two countries, to the Middle East and Central Asian Republics and being part of the Belt and Road Initiative, it would safeguard their common objectives.

Imran Khan highlighted the significance of CPEC, saying it has opened the vista of opportunities in the region. He added that CPEC is beneficial for both China and Pakistan and will connect to Middle East and wider Gulf region.

Prime Minister also shared his party's slogan of change which he had introduced during the his campaign to woo the voters in Pakistan before July 25 polls, Khan said his government is fully committed to implement the manifesto to bring positive changes in the country, adding that the government's core objective is to establish a system based on transparency and accountability in the country.

The premier also highlighted the immense potential Pakistan’s export industries possess stressing over a favourable economic relation with China rooted in trade.

“We in Pakistan are blessed with an abundant array of resources ranging from minerals to fertile land to wealth of renewable and the most diverse landscape with twelve climatic zones.

Our industries are already producing high-end textiles, sport goods, engineering goods, IT services and medical technologies including surgical instruments.”

Thanking China for the love and affection extended to him during his visit, PM Imran said the love between Pakistan and China did not only exist on a state-to-state level but could also be witnessed on people-to-people basis.

About the BRI, Imran Khan further said that it gives shape to the global community of shared interests.

The Shanghai Import Expo will help spread dividends of free market amongst more closely integrated economies. In Pakistan Karakurram highway merges into a network of modern highways that are part of CPEC is mechanism to forge even closer connectivity between middle East and China and between centeral Asia and South Asia. It is opening fresh investment avenue, new markets, new vistas.

Government of Pakistan has initiated deep reforms impacting all sector and every aspect of governance it also committed to improve frame work of transparency and accountability and the time when international trade system is under attack and unilateralism and protectionism is on rise we take great compliment in the president XI courageous statement about opening and future reforms, he added.
