CPC 19th Congress’s outcomes to push Pak-China ties to new eraBreaking

ISLAMABAD, Dec. 11 (INP)): The historical and landmark outcomes of the 19TH National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) gave a message of hope of shared destiny for the entire humanity as well as pushed forward Pak-China brotherly relationship to a new era. President Xi Jinping’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has been made part of the CPC’s amended constitution. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) that is the major and pilot project of BRI will get strength out of it. The 19th Congress had an extra-ordinary significance and it drew the World’s attention for a better future. This was stated by the Assistant Minister of International Department of the CPC Wang Yajun, while a giving a briefing on the achievements and the future targets of the recently held 19th Congress. The briefing was attended by a diversed section of the people including parliamentarians and diplomats. Prominent among those were Deputy Chairman Senate, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, Chairman Parliamentary Committee on CPEC Senator Syed Mushahid Hussain Syed and the Chinese ambassador-designate Yao Jing. The Minister shared with the audience major achievements of the Congress, stating that it pursued grand dream of China’s rejuvenation, under the leadership of President Xi Jinping. On its successful conclusion, the Chinese leadership received congratulatory messages from 170 countries, hoping that China will emerge as most modernized cultural-advanced democratic country in the years to come. As a most important development, Thoughts of President Xi have been made part of the CPC’s constitution. It was noted that China’s transformation and achievements during the last five years were marvelous, both in term of GDP and overall development. The most impressive factor was that China succeeded to bring millions of its people out of poverty as well as improving the living conditions of its people as a whole and giving rise to life-expectancy as well. Speaking high of the historic step-forward of China’s domestic and international developments, following the 19TH Congress, he said it opened the door of prosperity and peace for the entire mankind. He referred to the work report, presented to the Congress, and said it contained the progress, China made during the last five years in different sectors through new innovations and open-market policy Registering a happy-note on the growing Pak-China relationship, Wang Yajun said that it will have special place in the new diplomacy, China has to pursue during the next five year. “Since the 18th CPC National Congress, China has made remarkable achievements in its reforms, opening up and modernisation drive,” he said, adding that the 19th Congress also successfully decided a future course of action for achieving broad-based economic goals and for poverty alleviation. The Congress, he said decided that China would continue to hold high the banner of peace, development and win-win cooperation. In its foreign policy, China will uphold principles of justice and sincerity, honesty, affinity and good faith,” he said. It was decided by the highest decision-making body that the country will build a moderately prosperous society in all respects and adhere to socialism with Chinese characteristics. China will push forward a new type of ties and will discuss and collaborate with other nations in building a community of shared destiny for mankind, the Minister added. Wang Yajun assured no matter, how much China gets rise, it would never go for hegemony or ignoring the interests of other nations. Earlier, the Deputy Chairman Senate in his address praised high China’s policy of goodwill towards Pakistan, and supporting the country on the Kashmir and other issues of common interest. He said people of Pakistan will always stand by China for implementing the important projects like CPEC and BRI. Ambassador –designate Yao Jing said he was looking forward to do his best for further promoting the two-country’ decades’ old relationship. INP/J/AH
