ISLAMABAD, Jan 17 (INP): Chairman Parliamentary committee on China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Mushahid Hussain Syed has said that China’s strategic strong hold is a source of peace and stability in the region. While talking to a delegation of Chinese students who met him in Parliament house here on Wednesday, he said people of Pakistan are proud of China’s socio economic progress and looking forwards for further strengthening their mutually beneficial cooperative partnership. The delegation was lead by senior Chinese professor Li Xi guang praised high the growing Sino-Pak friendship and said that it reflected the warmness and depth of relationship at people to people level. People of China he said cherish their deep attachment with Pakistan and consider Pakistan as a best friend world over. Mushahid Hussain Syed briefed the delegation about role of Pakistani civil and military leadership in strengthening their bilateral relationship particularly in the context of CPEC. Mushahid also briefed the delegation about Pakistan’s effort to combat terrorism and to address regional and international issues through peaceful means. He said Pakistan fully supports China on its stand of One China Policy, South China sea and Taiwan issue and hoped that two countries will continue to work together at regional and international forum.
