BEIJING, Sep 27 (INP): Senior executive of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) Dr. Jia Duqiang has termed the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor as a source of peace and stability in the region. The CPEC the flagship project of Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has opened the way of prosperity not only for the two countries but the entire region. While talking with a group of journalists from South Asia, Dr. Jia said that BRI aims at providing financial uplift of the developing economies, better connectivity of various regions, exploration of trade routes and sharing the experiences of prosperity. BRI to revive the sluggish global economies and providing the new impetus to the global economy which will provide prosperity to billion of deprived people. He added that CPEC was a new impetus to the unique and exemplary relationship of both countries which was well known in all over the world. The two countries were achieving their targets with smooth and meaningful consultation and early harvest projects were yielding the results. He also said that the two countries have achieved good progress on projects relating to energy, infrastructure and Gwadar, while work on setting up Special Economic Zones and industrial parks is going on. CPEC was attracting the attention of international community and Pakistan would definitely get the maximum benefits in the future. About the huge investment plan by China in CPEC projects, he said that this initiative will be reviving various sectors in Pakistan which will uplift the local economy and provide the better and quality lives to people of Pakistan.
