China holds USA responsibe of their bilateral conflictsBreaking

BEIJING, August 25 (INP): The US is entirely and solely responsible for the current difficulties in China-US relations.
Certain US politicians have been stirring up troubles, making moves that interfere in China's internal affairs and undermine China's interests, and doing everything they can to smear China's domestic and foreign policies, which directly and gravely damages China-US relations.
This was stated by a spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Zhao Lijian while commenting on recent remarks of US secretary of State Pompeo at a regular news briefing.
He said, "Certain US politicians are working to suppress China because they fear China's growth. The harder they strike, the more it proves how successful China is on the right path.
The CPC's goal is to realize the Chinese dream of the great renewal of the Chinese nation, so that people in China and across the world can live a better life. For 10 consecutive years China has been contributing over 30 percent to the global GDP growth.
The Belt and Road Initiative proposed by China has become the most popular public good and the world's biggest platform for economic cooperation. China is committed to opening-up and win-win outcomes. Our development and our huge market of 1.4 billion people has brought enormous opportunities for the whole world.
China never seeks hegemony, but we are not to be intimidated by anyone. We believe countries are all equal regardless of their sizes, and all countries should respect each other and cooperate for win-win results.
We are committed to working with all countries to build a community with a shared future for mankind. However, when you look at the US, several of its politicians are busying doing nothing but political, economic, military and discourse bullying, which is increasingly denounced by the international community and visionary people at home.
The US today is merely a far cry from the major power it used to be.
The Chinese people cannot be beaten down. China doesn't provoke troubles, but we never flinch when trouble comes our way. I'd like to remind Pompeo and his like that anti-Communist and anti-China political manipulation is a lost cause.
The more they lie and cheat, the more people with judgment and sense of justice will see through their true intent."
The spokesperson added, over the past four decades or so since diplomatic ties were established, despite twists and turns, China and the US have all along maintained the momentum of steady development in bilateral relations by managing disagreements and differences and properly handling sensitive issues from a historical and overall perspective.
China-US cooperation is mutually-beneficial, not a one-way street. The expanding practical cooperation has brought tremendous benefits for the two countries and peoples.
Some American politicians claim falsely that the US has been ripped off by China and that China's development is a gift from the US. In essence, they are driven by ideological bias to hype up the so-called China threat theory and the Cold War and zero-sum game mentality. Such backpedaling shows their disregard for facts and disrespect for history.
