The police arrested two robbers in an operation at Mandi Usman Wala area in Kasur on Tuesday, police spokesperson said. The locals residents informed the police that four robbers had fled after stealing a motorcycle and cash. The police took immediate action and blocked the Garhwal road. When the suspects saw the police team they started firing, in which their own two accomplices were injured.

Police further said a motorcycle was recovered from the injured robbers that the suspects had snatched from a person a few days ago. Police said the arrested suspects have been identified as Saqib alias Saqi and Sajid. The suspects were wanted by the police in more than 40 serious incidents of robbery, street crimes and police encounters. Police shifted the injured robbers to hospital for medical test and treatment. Police also gathered possible evidence from the crime scene.
