Two held for ‘poisoning’ Rawal LakeBreaking

Two people were arrested on while ‘poisoning’ Rawal Lake of Islamabad for fishing purpose.  The contractor of Rawal Lake fishing informed that after ‘poisoning’ of Rawal Lake, fish, birds of different kinds and other aquatic life started dying. The National Assembly Standing Committee on Climate Change has expressed grave concerns over the incidents and has sought the report from officials concerned.

The NA Body also condemned all steps which harm environment, humans and animals. It stressed for following the moral and legal phenomenon of fishing and saved the natural resources of the country. Chairperson Standing Committee on Climate Change Nuzhat Pathan also called for awarding strict punishment to the accused involved in ‘poisoning’ of the Rawal Lake.
