Speakers at a seminar held here on Monday highlighted the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in socio-economic development. The seminar was arranged in connection with “World NGO Day 2023” at National Centre for Rural Development (AHK-NCRD). The SDGs were the core agenda of the seminar. The speakers included Israr Muhammad Khan Director General AHK-NCRD; Zafar Iqbal Regional Representative AARDO and the Goodwill ambassador World NGO Day in Pakistan; Regional Representative AARDO, Dr. Abdul Rehman Niazi; Director Training NCRD and the Executive Member at The NGO World Foundation, Malik Masood Ahmad Chohan.

They called for the implementation of SDGs in their true spirit. They also shared in the panel discussion that Artificial intelligence, proper data profiling, and making women an important part of the economic circle is the need of the time. On this occasion, special gratitude was paid to the social workers. To encourage their social contribution, the services of well-performing NGOs were shared.  As a gesture of recognition and appreciation, SWERA Awards were also distributed among the leading participants of NGOs.
