All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) Convener Mehmood Ahmed Saghar has said that illegally detained All Parties Hurriyat Conference senior leader Shabbir Ahmad Shah has dedicated his entire life for the Kashmir cause and spent a major part of his life in jails.

Mehmood Ahmed Saghar in a statement issued in Islamabad said, people in IIOJK know it well that Shabbir Shah is being targeted for his just political stance about the Kashmir dispute.

He also expressed concern over deteriorating health of Shabbir Shah in New Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail and said, “Instead of being provided better health care, he is being harassed by baseless charge-sheets.”

The APHC-AJK Convener urged the world human rights organizations to take notice of the declining health condition of Shabbbir Shah and other illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in different jails of India and the territory besides ensuring their early and safe release.
