A robber was gunned down in an alleged police encounter in the jurisdiction of Police Station Balochnie on Tuesday. The police spokesperson said police received information that the suspects were trying to flee after a robbery bid. The police followed and reached on them. The police ordered the outlaws to surrender, but they opened fire on the police party.

The SHO Balochni along with a police contingent retaliated and so crossfire took place between the robbers and the policemen. One robber was shot dead in the firing, while the other managed to escape. The dead bandit was identified as Muzamil and he was wanted by the police in several cases. Police teams have started raids to arrest the runaway robbers.
