The Quetta Customs on Wednesday foiled a bid to smuggle sugar, urea fertilizer, non-custom paid vehicles, smuggled tyres and other items valuing over 300 million rupees. According to details, the Quetta Customs on a tip-off regarding massive smuggling attempt, launched crackdown near Pak-Afghan border. During operation, the custom authorities seized 11000 bags sugar valuing Rs130 million, 3537 bags of urea fertilizers worth 25 million, 10 non-custom paid vehicles, 2570 smuggled tyres, Cedar wood, smuggled cigarettes, diesel, cloth and women sandals. The Quetta Customs confiscated the recovered smuggled items and kicked off the investigation.
