Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Mohsin Naqvi on Monday visited the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology and inspected the facilities being provided for the treatment of heart patients. The chief minister also inspected the arrangements made for cleanliness at the hospital.He visited the Emergency Ward, City Scan, X-Ray Room and other departments of the hospital, and inquired after the patients and asked them about the facilities being provided at the institute.He especially asked them about angiography and angioplasty. Patients as well as their attendants expressed their satisfaction over the way they were looked after by doctors and the paramedical staff at the hospital.
They told him that they purchased medicines from the hospital. The chief minister, on the occasion, ordered that the VIP Ward should be opened for the general public. He said he was glad to see quality health services being provided at the hospital. “I especially appreciate the spirit and dedication of doctors as well as nurses to serve the ailing humanity,” he said. He, on the occasion, assured that the Punjab government would provide funds to the hospital.
