PML-N leader questions slow pace of cases against Imran KhanBreaking

June 07, 2023

Accusing former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan of concealing the gifts he had received from Toshakhana with bad intent, PML-N leader Mohsin Shah Nawaz Ranjha on Wednesday regretted that ‘stay’ had been granted in a criminal case. Addressing a press conference here, he said it was unfortunate that hearings of corruption cases against the PTI chairman were going at snail’s pace.

Accusing Imran of concealing his assets, he regretted that he was being given a special treatment.  Ranjha went on to say that contrary to the treatment being meted out to Imran, former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif had to attend court hearings daily. “What an irony that Nawaz was declared disqualified from holding a public post merely because he had not received salary from his son. PML-N leader argued that there was no law that barred courts from taking action in Toshakhana case after the passage of 120 days. “We want free and fair trial of the reference,” he demanded.
