The private company operating bus rapid transit (BRT) in Peshawar has again threatened to stop the service over non-payment of dues. The private company in a letter addressed to secretary transport has informed that during May and June 2023, dues of 63 million rupees have not been paid. Due to non-payment of dues it was not possible for the company to continue operating the service, it further stated.The company clarified that the BRT operations should be suspended if dues were not cleared within a week. It is worth mentioning here that the BRT operation had earlier went through the financial crisis and was company operation the service had threatened to suspend it but was later situation was brought to normal after making payments.
