The naanbais of district Mansehra of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have refused to decrease prices of roti and naan despite a massive decrease of about 1600 rupees in price of 40 kg flour bag. Roti having low weight and prepared with low quality flour is being sold for 25 rupees while naan price is fixed 30 rupees in Baffa, Trangri, Mansehra city and surrounding areas. After Punjab lifted ban to supply wheat and flour to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, price of 40 kg wheat flour which was early sold for about 6800 rupees is now reduced to 5200. However, despite massive decrease of 1600 rupees in per maund of flour, the naanbais are not ready to lessen a single rupee in roti and naan price. The local people expressing grave concerns over the situation have demanded of the district government and food department for taking notice and fixing roti prices as per rates of the wheat flour.
