Head of car lifter gang injured and held after encounter has made key revelation during the preliminary investigation. According to details, SSP Anti Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) Abdul Rahim Sherazi said that head of a notorious car lifting gang identified as Abdullah Afghani was injured and held after exchange of fire in Gulshan Town Karachi. The SSP said that the accused during investigation revealed that his gang included Sher Afzal, Javed Khan and Azam. He informed that they used to sell stolen high roof from Rs70,000 to Rs100,000 and Corolla up to Rs1,20,000. The nabbed car lifter further stated that he along with his gang so far stole over 150 vehicles from different areas of the city and sold them to different car dealers and citizens.  SSP AVLC said that a case has been registered against the detainees and raids were being conducted to arrest his other accomplices.
