The Senate was informed on Tuesday that gas supply situation for the consumers is better this year as compared to the previous years. Speaking in the House during Question Hour, Minister of State for Law Shahadat Awan said it is because of the timely steps taken by the government.The Minister of State said the prices of gas are determined by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority. He said there was some increase in the gas price recently due to one percent increase in General Sales Tax. The Senate also passed Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources Amendment Bill, 2023.

It was moved by Minister of State for Law Shahadat Awan. Responding to a calling attention notice, Minister for Education and Professional Training Rana Tanveer Hussain said significant reforms have been made in the boards of intermediate and secondary education. He said we have also developed consensus of all the provinces on the national curriculum and they are now signatory to it. The Minister for Education assured that steps would be taken to get removed inappropriate material in O-Level syllabus. Earlier, the House offered fateha for the security personnel martyred in a recent act of terrorism in Balochistan. The House will now meet on Friday.
