Attock police apprehended five gamblers along with recovery of money at stake of Rs 1.5million from their possession here Al Habib adad within the jurisdiction of police station Jand. Police said, on tip off police squad led by ASI Samiullah Khan conducted a surprise raid in a Toyota Hiace wagon where some gamblers were found playing flash cards.

The police squad besieged the wagon and arrested five criminals identified as Mohammad Nawaz son of Gul Mohammad, Imran Khan son of Lal Khan, Mudasar Hussain son of Rabnawaz Khan, Afreen Aftab son of Intekhab Akbar and Zahid Iqbal son of Gul Sherz Khan on the spot. Later on, case was registered against all these gamblers under gambling act and started investigation. Meanwhile, these were also produced in the court of judicial magistrate Jand for seeking their physical remand before completion of legal formalities of police challan.
