The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled various narcotics smuggling bids, recovers cache of drugs and arrests five drug pushers in countrywide operations. A spokesman of ANF said on Saturday that 180 kilogram hashish from secret cavities of an Onion laden truck near Dera Ghazi Khan and arrested driver The truck was heading to Punjab from Quetta. Two residents of district Pishin of Balochistan were arrested after recovery of drugs, he added. The ANF recovered 500 gram heroin near Wazirabad road from a drug peddler hailing from Sialkot.

In another action, 51 kilogram hashish was recovered from a car near Indus Chowk in Gadap Town and one person was arrested. The recovered drug was being smuggled from Karachi to Quetta. The spokesman said that the ANF recovered 371 kilogram heroin and 22 kilogram morphine from uninhabited area Pishin. At least 10 kilogram hashish was recovered from a rickshaw on Airport road of Quetta. The recovered narcotics were confiscated and the detainees were being investigated after registering separate cases against them under Drug Act.
