Pakistan Railways authorities have started shifting the equipment purchased for repair of railway track in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Sindh and due to victimization policy of the federal government, restoration of Nowshera, Mardan Dargai railway section has become a dream. Nowshera Dargai railway section remains the key affectee of the victimization policy as equipment purchased for its rehabilitation during era of former government were being shifted back to Sindh. Former federal minister for PRs, Azam Khan Swati took key initiative of maintenance of this section for convenience of the local population but after work on it could not be complete after PTI government was ousted.

The PDM government after assuming the charge stopped work on the project. Mardan is major city on Nowshera Dargai section and during PTI rule on request of local representatives, then minister PRs Azam Swati started rehabilitation of the track. However, after fall of PTI government, the PDM government not only stopped the development on the project but the equipment were also being shifted back to Sindh.Sources said that through freight trains, the equipment were being transferred to Sindh where it will be used for repairing the track.(M.Awais)
