Adviser on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Qamar Zaman Kaira has stated that the current situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) is not acceptable at all. He stated that Pakistan has always stood by oppressed Kashmiri people in their legitimate struggle for right to self-determination. Addressing an event in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said our successive governments have consistently raised Kashmir dispute at different international forums. He said this lingering dispute is alive because of the blood being rendered by the Kashmiri people in the illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Qamar Zaman Kaira said the current situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir is not acceptable at all. Referring to the Indian atrocities, he said the voice of Kashmiri people cannot be silenced through such tactics. The Adviser on Kashmir Affairs said an economically and democratically strong Pakistan is important to effectively plead the case of Kashmiris. He said we will defend the interests of Pakistan at all costs.
