The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter held a seminar in connection with the “Accession to Pakistan Day”, today.The day is being observed by the Kashmiri people in renewal of the historical resolution of Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan passed by the people of Jammu and Kashmir through their representative organization, All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference on this day in 1947 in Srinagar, demanding accession of the territory to Pakistan.
APHC-AJK Convener Mehmood Ahmad Saghar presided over the seminar while former AJK Prime Minister and President, Sardar Yaqoob Khan was chief guest on the occasion.Addressing the seminar, the speakers described the resolution passed on July 19, 1947, as the Kashmiris’ destination and pledged to continue peaceful struggle to achieve this objective.
They said that the people of Kashmir were struggling for securing their right to self-determination. They said that India had forcibly occupied Kashmir against the will of Kashmiri people but one day it will have to vacate the territory because the use of brute force couldn’t weaken their freedom sentiment.
The other speakers and participants included Shaikh Abdul Mateen, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Syed Faiz Naqashbandi , Syed Yousuf Naseem, Mir Tahir Masood, Muhammad Hussain Khateeb, Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob, Hassan-ul- Bana, Imtiaz Wani, Syed Ajaz Rehmani, Advocate Parvaiz Ahmed, Mushtaq Ahmad Butt, Raja Khadim Hussain, Javaid Iqbal Butt, Manzoor ul Haq Bhat, Nisar Mirza, Zahid Ashraf, Abdul Majeed, Gulshan Ahmed, Imran Qazi, Main Muzaffer, Nadeem Wani, Abdul Hameed, Attaullah, Muhammad Shafi Dar, and others.
A resolution passed on the occasion reaffirmed the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue their struggle till the accession of Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan. The resolution called for dialogue process between Pakistan and India meaningful and result-oriented on Kashmir dispute.Demanding release of all political prisoners languishing in different Indian and IIOJK jails under draconian laws, the resolution paid glowing tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs and reiterated to continue their mission till complete success.
