The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) claimed to have recovered heavy amount of opium from the mountains area of Balochsitan, according to ANF officials. According to ANF spokesperson, a joint operation of the Balochiostan Frontier Constabulary and the ANF intelligence successfully recovered 820kg of opium from the far flung area of Mashkel, situated 530km away from Quetta. The stockpiled drugs were recovered from a hidden spot in the area known as Gorinder Nala. ANF said that the authorities discarded 370kg of seized drugs up in the mountains due to lack of resources to bring those down to the station.
