The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Pakistan on Tuesday claimed to arrest seven drug peddlers and recovered from them 36kg of narcotics during nine operations across the country. ANF spokesperson said during an operation near Khana Road, Rawalpindi, an accused was arrested with 1,000 grams of hashish. In the second operation conducted in a deserted area of Turbat, 18kg Ice drug concealed in bushes was recovered. In the third operation near Bilawal Chowrangi, Clifton Karachi, 10kg hashish was recovered from a rickshaw while an accused resident of Karachi was also rounded up.
In the fourth operation near Gadap Town Karachi, 1.7kg Ice drug and two kg heroin were recovered from a vehicle while an accused resident of Quetta was also netted. In the fifth operation near Shakarpur Road, Sukkur, two kg hashish was recovered from the possession of a drug smuggler, a resident of Khairpur. In the sixth operation at the Bacha Khan International Airport, the ANF recovered heroin and ice-filled capsules from the possession of a Bahrain-bound passenger who was travelling on flight GF-787.
In the seventh operation on Gujranwala Road, 1.8kg hashish was recovered from the possession of a biker, a resident of Sheikhpura. The spokesman informed that in the eighth operation conducted at a courier office in Kot Lakhpat Lahore area, 33 grams heroin concealed in suits was recovered. The parcel was booked for Greece. In the ninth operation conducted at the Multan International Airport, a Sharjah-bound passenger, a resident of Bannu, was rounded up on the recovery of a hashish-filled capsule. Separate cases have been registered against the accused while further investigation is under process, he added.
