Unhappy with the failure of Advocate General Punjab (AGP) Muhammad Shan Gul to make strong cases against the perpetrators of incidents of violence on May 9, the Punjab government on Saturday decided to seek his resignation. Sources said that the Punjab cabinet had agreed to ask Shan Gull to step down. And in the event of his refusal to relinquish the post, they added, he would be denotified. The sources further disclosed that the provincial government had already started looking for his replacement.
