The Punjab government removed Chaudhry Asghar Ali as the Superintendent of Adiala Jail Rawalpindi for allegedly keeping Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shahbaz Gill in chakki (quern cell) on his first night in the prison on Wednesday. The Punjab government posted Ejaz Akbar as the Superintendent of Adiala Jail Rawalpindi while Chaudhry Asghar Ali was posted as the Superintendent of Faisalabad Jail. It is to be noted here that Shahbaz Gill had been arrested a few days back on the charge of instigating the young officers of the Pakistan Army to disobey the orders of their leadership.
