Four people were killed and four received injured in an exchange of fire between two rival groups in Gujarat district of Punjab, police officials told on Thursday. According to the Gujarat Police, a firing incident took place over a transaction dispute between two groups in Dinga, as a result of which four people, including three brothers, were killed and four got injured. Police officials said the members of Meher group reached at Haji Fazal's residence to demand money, during the conversation, the situation reached at exchange of bitter words. Later on that converted into exchange of fire between two groups. 

Officials said 53-year-old Mohammad Nawaz of Fazal group, 40-year-old Nasir Meher of Meher group, 30-year-old Saddam Butt, 40-year-old Sajjad Mithu Butt are among those killed, while Haji Fazal, Ehsan, Ashfaq and Faisal are among the injured. Police have shifted the dead bodies of deceased to hospital for medico-legal procedure. The injured people were also moved to hospital for medical treatment. The police have started investigation of the incident.
