Young Entrepreneurs Urged to be Self-Sufficient Businessmen

November 19, 2021

ISLAMABAD, Nov 19 (INP-WealthPK): The young entrepreneurs have been advised to establish themselves as self-sufficient businessmen to contribute to economic growth. ‘’A productive approach is required by the young people to promote economy,’’ says Shakeel Ahmed Ramay, chief executive officer of Asian Institute of Eco-civilisation Research. He was speaking at a seminar organised in the Sargodha University on ‘understanding China’s economic model’. The varsity’s Pakistan Institute of China Studies (PICS) organised the event aimed at helping the participants understand the economic policies of the Chinese government taken since 1978. While sharing his understanding of the Chinese economic model and the shortcomings in Pakistan’s economic system, Mr Ramay said Pakistan could copy the Chinese model by ensuring persistent policies. He called for making economic decisions based on scientific grounds by collecting and analysing data scientifically. On this occasion, Dr Fazlur Rahman, director PICS, said the country’s economy performed well despite the Covid-19 pandemic. However, he said for the economy to grow sustainably an efficient financial model was needed. ‘’China’s well-established economic model can help Pakistan a lot. We need to extract the greatest amount of fruitful information and learn from China's experience,’’ he stressed.
