BEIJING, October 25 (INP): President Xi Jinping hailed restoration of People’s Republic of China’s rights in United Nations fifty years ago.

Delivering here a landmark speech at a commemorative meeting marking the 50th anniversary of the restoration of the PR's lawful seat in the United Nations, he said the restoration of the seat in the UN 50 years ago is a victory of the Chinese people and the people from around the world

On multilateralism, the President said no civilization in the world is superior to others; every civilization is special and unique to its own region. Civilizations can achieve harmony only through communication and can make progress only through harmonization

To build a community with a shared future for mankind is not to replace one system or civilization with another. We shall be firm in opposing all forms of hegemony and power politics, as well as all forms of unilateralism and protectionism, he added.
