XINGTAI, July 26 (Xinhua) - The Hongyi River ecological zone, located in north China's Hebei, used to be a wasteland. After years' of environmental improvement, it's now transformed into a leisure area for local citizens tourists and tourists.

China has seen visible progress in ecological environment protection as the quality of surface water and air continued to improve in recent years.
