Top military brass vow to make sure execution of Constitution

RAWALPINDI, Oct 3 (INP): The special corps commanders conference chaired by Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa ended on Tuesday vowing that forces will play role to make sure the implementation on the constitution of the country. According to the details, the Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa chaired a special Corps Commanders Conference Tuesday to review the regional security situation besides discussing the challenges faced by the country. The ‘Special’ Commanders conference continued for 7 hours at GHQ Rawalpindi. According to sources corps commanders conference has also pledged the concrete steps to cope with the challenges being faced by the country. The issues related to the national security and regional security situation along with the army chief’s visit to Kabul discussed in details. Sources said it was agreed in the Commanders Conference that Pakistan Army will fully cooperate in strengthening and stability of the state institutions. Pakistan Army will continue to play its due role to ensure rule of law and adhere to the constitution, the sources added. On Sunday, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa met Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and discussed regional security matters including other issues. Both sides discussed bilateral relations, trade and transit, and the war against terrorism in the meeting that took place in Kabul, according to a tweet by the Official Account of the Office of the President of Afghanistan.
