Talks with Taliban key element of Trump Afghan Policy: State Department

WASHINGTON, Oct 4 (INP) The state department says the key element of President Trump’s Afghanistan policy is eventually getting Afghans to talk each other and that would certainly include the Taliban. “The key element of South Central Asia Policy is eventually getting Afghans to talk to Afghans, and that would certainly include the Taliban, getting them to talk to one another” State department spokesperson Heather Nauert said in a briefing here on Tuesday.
