ISLAMABAD, Jul 27 : The government is providing special subsidy on basic food items at Utility Stores to benefit the poor segments of society, said Utility Store Corporation (USC) spokesperson on Wednesday.

The spokesperson said sugar is being provided at PKR70 per kg, ghee at PKR300 per kg and a 10 kg bag of flour at PKR400. A good discount is being given on rice and pulses as well.

The spokesperson said the subsidized items are available in abundance at all utility stores across the country. “For the convenience of the people, the supply of these items has been increased at the stores and the number of counters at big stores has also been increased,” he said, adding that the management of Utility Stores Corporation is striving to provide the best services to the public.
