KARACHI Aug 18 (INP): Sindh High Court on Friday expressed anger over non-appearance of investigation officer of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the court. A division bench of the SHC was hearing bail application of a contractor in a case relating to misappropriation of development funds in Larkana. A government contractor Liaqat Rajpoot had moved to SHC for protective bail in the NAB inquiry into alleged embezzlement and corruptions in developments projects of Larkana. The Investigation Officer NAB did not appear before the court when the petition came up for hearing. This angered the bench which expressed it displeasure over non-appearance of the NABdespite being on notice. The court directed the IO to ensure his presence in next hearing. The court said that if the IO did not appear before the bench then it would summon Chairman NAB. INP/LK/AH
