SC asks govt to submit reply by today (Tuesday) on appointment of NAB Prosecutor General

ISLAMABAD , Jan 22 (INP) Supreme Court has summoned secretary law to present the summary and Prime Minister’s advice to the President before the court tomorrow (Tuesday) in the appointment of Prosecutor General NAB case. Additional Attorney General Rana Waqar told the three-member bench headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan that the President of Pakistan had rejected the five names given by Chairman NAB. The President had nominated Waqar Hasan, Chaudhary Ramzan and Najeeb Faisal for the post. However, according to reports, taking a leaf out of the President’s book, Chairman NAB had rejected the names. INP/AH
