RIYADH, September 9 (INP)The World Intellectual Property Organization has issued a report stating that Saudi Arabia is among the top 10 countries in the world benefiting from intellectual property training programs, which were held remotely from January to August this year.
According to the report, the number of trainees that benefited from the programs held by WIPO Academy at the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) has reached 3,710 male and female trainees, an increase of 54 percent compared to the previous year.
The training programs were divided into general courses by 83 percent and specialized courses by 17 percent provided in Arabic and English.
It is worth noting that the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property and the signed an agreement with the WIPO in October last year to establish a self-sustainable national IP training center (NIPTC) to respond to the increasing national demand for IP knowledge from both the public and private sectors in Saudi Arabia, , the Saudi Press Agency reported.
