Sale of tractors shows declining trend

The sale of tractors in the country fell from 22,003 units between July and November of 2021–22 to 10,498 units during the same period of the current fiscal year, demonstrating a decline of 52%. Tractor sales likewise fell by 73% on an annual basis, from 4,617 units in November 2021 to 1,240 units in November 2022, the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturing Association (PAMA) data shows.

Similarly, sales of trucks and buses decreased 39%, from 2,727 units sold during the first five months of the previous fiscal year to 1,661 units sold during the first five months of the current fiscal year.In comparison to the sale of 532 units of trucks and buses during November 2021, some 342 units were sold during the month of November 2022, representing a decline of 35.7% on an annual basis.

Sales of Jeeps and pickups decreased as well, from 18,332 units in the first five months of the previous year to 11,314 units in the corresponding period of the current fiscal year. Sales of Jeep and pickup trucks decreased 12.3% from 3,363 units in November 2021 to 2,947 units in November 2022.
