Chief Executive Officer (CEO)of Qatar Investment Authority Sheikh Faisal bin Thani al-Thani has shown keen interest to invest in  different Pakistani sectors especially energy, airport and infrastructure.

The bilateral ties were discussed in a virtual meeting between Minister for Finance and Revenue Miftah Ismail and CIO – Africa & APAC and CEO of Qatar Investment Authority Sheikh Faisal bin Thani al Thani, said a press release issued by the Finance Division.

Miftah highlighted the potential investment avenues available in Pakistan and said the present government was undertaking a number of structural reforms to support foreign investors.

He welcomed the Qatar Investments Authority’s plan to invest in various fields while assuring it of the government’s full cooperation and facilitation.

The meeting was also attended by Minister for Privatisation and Chairman of Privatisation Commission Abid Hussain Bhayo, Coordinator to Prime Minister on Economy Bilal Azhar Kayani, and other senior officers.
