SRINAGAR, Aug 13 (INP): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, posters have appeared in different areas of the territory asking people to celebrate August 14, Independence Day of Pakistan as ‘Jashn-e-Azadi’ and observe August 15, India’s Independence Day, as Black Day.
The posters reading “August 14 Thanks-Giving Day”, One Nation, One Slogan, One destination”, “14th August - Independence Day”, “15th August - Black Day, “We are Pakistanis and Pakistan is ours” and ‘We Want Freedom” have been posted on walls, pillars and electricity poles in Srinagar, Badgam, Islamabad, Pulwama and other areas of the territory.
The posters, released by Tehreek-e-Azadi Jammu and Kashmir and Warseen-e-Shuhada Jammu and Kashmir, said that India had no right to celebrate its independence day as it had illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir against the aspirations of Kashmiri people. It further said that the so-called largest democracy of the world had usurped all the fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people including their birthright to self-determination.
The posters said that Jammu and Kashmir was naturally part of Pakistan, but India occupied it illegally through its military power. They said that the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir by observing complete shutdown on India’s Independence Day would convey a loud and clear message to India and the world that they wanted freedom from Indian yoke.
