PFA continues campaign to free schools/seminaries of carbonated/energy drinks

LAHORE, Aug 24 (INP): The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) continues the campaign of eradicating carbonated and energy drinks from schools and religious seminaries canteens under supervision of Director General (DG) PFA Noor ul Amin Mengal.

 The PFA teams on Thursday checked the sellers of carbonated drinks in different cities of the province in order to seal and issue notices to the violators.

DG Food Authority, Noor ul Amin Mengal expressed satisfaction during visit of canteens of The Famous School of Education and Sawara School of Education in Mustafaabad, EFA School Education system in Manawan, Ameena Public School in township, CDG School on Sheranwala Gate, Seerat school and Azeem Talent High School in Nishter Colony and numerous other schools over non-availability of the soft drinks and passed instruction to ensure abiding of imposed ban.

 On the other hand, The Educators Schools System situated in Gujranwala (Shahpur) was sealed on keeping carbonated drinks in school canteens and Yasir Broast on Zarar Shaheed Rd. sealed for improper cleanliness, use of jewelry during work, dirty washing area, smoking in kitchen, rusted freezers finding nine expired buns, Moreover, notices of betterment of cleanliness, securing medicals of workers and E-licenses were issued to many other food franchises in Gulberg Town.
