ISLAMABAD, Mar.3 (INP): Pakistani users of the Chinese messaging application WeChat said they were stunned by the ‘wonderful clarity’ of voice call during their first call on the app, according to Gwadar Pro on Thursday.

“The application is popular among Pakistanis who studied in China or came into contact with the Chinese people for other reasons so much so that they no longer opt for rival platforms like WhatsApp etc.,”said Rabia Saif, a Chinese language translator at the China Study Centre of COMSATS University.

“The WeChat community in Pakistan will grow faster once people know about its absolutely clear voice call and other amazing features,”she said while talking to Gwadar Pro.

Dr.Nowsherawan Abbasi who did his PhD from Communication University of China said that together with clear voice, WeChat provides matchless stability during calls.

The WeChat call doesn’t disconnect every now and then like other voice call apps, he said. “The app works up to the mark in China due to super fast internet coverage. However, it still works way better than its rival apps in Pakistan despite weaker internet infrastructure as compared to China,”he said.

Saqib Ali, a graduate of Shandong Medical University,has been usingWeChat for communicating with friends even after coming back to Pakistan a couple of years ago.

He praised the quality of WeChat voice calls as well as itsprivacy, security and reliability features.“WeChat doesn’t discloses whether your message has been sent and seen or not by target usersdue to privacy concerns.

Yet you rest sure that your message has definitely been sent because WeChat has the highest level of reliability in terms of communication. Moreover, as only verified consumers can use WeChat, it provides a safe and secure platform for communicating with people,”he said.
