December 19, 2022

Danish Ambassador to Pakistan Jakob Linulf has urged exporters to look into Denmark's untapped global markets to expand bilateral trade between Pakistan and Denmark. Speaking to the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) members, he emphasised the need for improving bilateral trade and economic ties between nations through the exchange of trade delegations. He gave businesspeople his unwavering support too.

He stated that because Pakistani farmers are producing high-quality foods, efforts must be made in unison to address the effects of climate change. He showed a strong interest in the SCCI's documentary, "Sialkot, the City of Progressive People," which was screened during the meeting.

Later, he toured some important industrial facilities in Sialkot and showed a particular interest in the manufacturing of sporting goods and surgical equipment. Speaking at the event, SCCI President Abdul Ghafoor Malik noted that Denmark, renowned as the country with the happiest and brightest people in the world, has emerged as one of the most stable economies globally.

He said that Sialkot's economy shared characteristics with Denmark's, which is known for having one of the strongest SME sectors for creating jobs. He noted that Denmark has one of the greatest educational systems in the world and has won many laurels in science and technology. According to the Commerce Map Data, the SCCI President stated that the value of trade between the two countries is a little over $344 million.
