Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Syed Amin Ul Haque has announced the introduction of 5G technology in Pakistan next year and said providing fast Internet services throughout the country is his ministry's top goal.

The minister shared these thoughts with Zong Chief Executive Officer Wang Hua, when he visited him at his office. The discussion covered topics such as spectrum, 5G technology, connectivity, and the delivery of high-quality telecom services.

Syed Amin encouraged the telecommunications sector to modernise its infrastructure in order to offer high-quality services to the general public, stating that every effort is being made to address the problems facing cellular mobile carriers.

Wang Hua declared that Zong is prepared to work closely with the Ministry of IT and Telecommunications to introduce 5G technology across the nation. He informed the meeting that Zong will soon launch a microfinance-style application for online ordering.
