The decision of the government to digitise the clearance of immigrants at airports will make the process more transparent, easy and fair, WealthPK reports.
E-protector of immigrants’ clearance will be formally launched after the approval of the federal cabinet. The government has decided in principle to digitise the process of protector of immigrants’ clearance on an immediate basis, according to a press release.
The Cabinet Committee for Legislative Business has already approved the amended rules for the purpose. The press release quoted Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Sajid Hussain Turi as saying that e-protector amendment rules were on the top of the agenda for the next cabinet meeting.
He thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for making personal efforts and taking interest in that important matter. He said that the main purpose of launching the e-protector was to make the process of immigrants’ clearance easy, fair and transparent.
The minister also lauded Salman Safi, who formulated the e-protector. “The government is committed and taking various steps to send more workers abroad,” he added.
Mr. Turi said that all possible facilitates would be provided to expatriates on priority bases as they were the precious assets of the country, according to the statement received by WealthPK.
