ISLAMABAD, Nov 19 (INP-WealthPK): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will purchase 370 kanals of land for setting up a small industrial estate in the Bajaur tribal district. ‘’An amount of Rs400 million has been okayed for the purchase of land for the industrial estate. This estate will generate jobs and promote business and trade activities in the region,’’ Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Industry and Trade Abdul Karim says. With the establishment of this industrial zone, the socioeconomic conditions of the region will change as locals will get jobs at their doorsteps, adds Mr Karim. The authorities concerned have been directed to take ensure early purchase of the land, he said, adding small and medium-sized enterprise sector of the province would also be upgraded under the new Industrial Policy 2020-30 to provide maximum facilities to investors and generate employment opportunities The CM’s aide said revival of sick units and promotion of trade and business activities were the priorities of the provincial government.
