Pak-Turk expo to promote development in health sector on Oct 6

Pak-Turk Medical Health Expo will be held at the Expo Centre from October 6 to 8, in cooperation with Turkiye to promote business development in the health sector. Director General of Health Services of Turkiye, Dr. Selami Kilich said at a meeting that the expo would be the beginning of a new era of business development in the health sector between Pakistan and Turkiye. More than 45 Turkish companies would participate in the event, he informed. Punjab Health Secretary Imran Sikandar Baloch chaired the meeting to review the arrangements for the Expo with the Turkish Ministry of Health.

The Expo would be jointly inaugurated by Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid, he said adding that the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) would provide support to make the event a success. The meeting was also informed that Turkiye would provide all possible assistance to flood-affected victims.

The meeting was attended by CEO PITB Jalal Kamal, Special Secretaries Dr. Farrukh Naveed and Mohammad Usman, Special Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Saleha Saeed, DGs Drug Control Dr. Sohail and Dr. Haroon Jahangir. While Dr. Selami Kilich, DG Health Services of Turkey and Turkish Consul General Emir Ozbane, Shaheen Kamal, from the Ministry of Health of Turkey participated through video link.
