New Zealand's largest city resumes strict COVID-19 lockdown

AUCKLAND, New Zealand, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- The streets of Auckland are nearly empty as the city resumed COVID-19 Alert Level 3 on Wednesday for three days, with the rest of New Zealand going to Level 2.

After 102 days without community transmission in the country, New Zealand announced the four local transmissions that were acquired from an unknown source.
