September 19, 2017

ISLAMABAD, Sept 19 (INP): President Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) and former President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari has said that Mir Murtaza Bhutto endured the rigours of exile, the tormenting of his mother and sister and witnessed the assassination of his father and his younger brother but stood by his principles and refused to compromise with the dictatorship. He stated this in message on the 21st death anniversary of Mir Murtaza Bhutto to be marked on Wednesday, September 20. Asif Zardari said that the mysterious circumstances of Murtaza Bhutto’s assassination and the subsequent murder under equally suspicious circumstances of investigating officer lends credence to the suspicion that it was a sinister plot to kill a Bhutto and also blame another Bhutto for it. Nothing remains secret in history and it is our belief that in the fullness of time Mir Murtaza's assassins would not only be exposed but also punished, he added. The PPPP President in his message further stated that Mir Murataza was a man of great courage who lived an eventful life dedicated to fighting against dictatorship. Asif Zardari also prayed for eternal rest to the soul of Mir Murtaza and a high place in heaven for his and the souls of those killed with him. May Allah grant patience to their heirs to bear this heavy loss, he added. INP/SB/AK
